![]() ![]() I scanned different locations of the drive using Victoria. If you were EXTREMELY LUCKY your PCB is damaged, the drive isn't spinning at all and you were scanning. If you were lucky you have firmware/translator damage and hopefully it can still be recovered by a fair fee. If you have media damage scanning it for days will scarpe the substract out of the platter turning your data intro dust. If the drive have head/s issues scanning it for days will kill the heads for good. To start : 1 - Does the drive click or make any strange noises ? 2 - Can you plug the drive to a TLL and check the log ? There is no point in scanning the drive for DAYS with software if you can't do a very quick scan with victoria on the start middle and end of the drive. Hopefully the data can still be recovered. destroying the rest of the drive for good. Assuming the drive have bad translator and bad heads/media, etc you hammered the drive with software for days and days scanning for. You should have asked first and decide what to do later. Send the drive to a data recovery firm ? If the data is recoverable at all by now.
